• Create detailed statements and reports to keep you updated on your financial status. Because your data is collected in real-time via our website, we can offer you a current view of your financial health throughout the year.

• Ensure that you are in good shape for audit season. We make sure your books are in excellent shape and that expenses are properly allocated as you approach audit season. We can also assist you through the audit process, answering your questions along the way. We can also prepare your financial statements.

• Segregate your bookkeeping activity. To ensure the proper checks and balances, it’s a good idea to separate accounting activity from the business’ day-to-day operations. We become your remote accounting department—ensuring that the proper controls are in place and the integrity of your accounting process is maintained.

Since 1996 we have used a risk-based approach to not only provide efficient and effective audit services, but to also help you get better at what you do. Our audit services will be provided in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (and the uniform grant guidance if a single audit is required) and ensure your financial statements are prepared in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the USA. We will also be forward thinking as we help you identify potential risks and solutions that will help you continue to improve how you serve your community.

When Boyd Greene and Larry Finney started GF in 1996, their strategy was to specialize in serving government and nonprofit organizations, and we continue that strategy today. From the beginning, GF has played many different roles within the nonprofit industry, in addition to providing audit and other services.

• We are members of various nonprofit and other organizations, including Together SC and the AICPA Nonprofit Audit Quality Center (“NAQC”) among others.

• We are exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers at conferences and meetings for Together SC, and will be exhibiting and speaking at the 2018 Together SC conference.

• We are authors of articles for publications.

We currently provide audit and 990 tax services to over 30 nonprofit organizations in South Carolina. We also provide outsourced accounting services and prepare the 990 tax form filing for several other nonprofit organizations. In addition, GF brings additional benefits as we serve nonprofits in South Carolina.

• Over 20 full-time audit staff members are available to serve nonprofits throughout the year. We encourage periodic meetings, phone calls, and discussions as questions and matters arise regarding financial matters and the implementation of new FASBs and GASBs.

• GF has developed a leadership and financial risk assessment template that we will share with our nonprofit clients. This template is meant to help our clients identify areas of financial and leadership risk that they can address and help them improve their organization.

• GF communicates clearly and consistently to members at all levels of our client’s organization. From our initial meeting with finance staff to our presentation to the Board, GF endeavors to ensure that our clients are well-informed throughout the year.

• Our partners and managers are on-site and involved more than the typical CPA firm. Even though we can perform work remotely, we want to be on site three to four days per week while we provide our audit services.

• We host an annual continuing professional education conference that is free to our clients, offering a unique opportunity for our clients to network among nonprofit, government, and finance peers in South Carolina.

• Through conference seminars and email updates, we keep our clients informed on updates and matters which may impact them.
